Quake-damaged Sumner Road (Evans Pass), Christchurch Drone's View

April 9, 2015
Closed Off Sumner Road, Christchurch 4K Drone's View From Lyttelton to Summit Road. #eqnz Eqnz This road has been closed since the 2011 Christchurch earthquake. It was a popular scenic road of Lyttelton harbour and Sumner town. In this video you can see parts of the road have fallen away, or have grass growing over it, or boulders have fallen down on it. The road in its current state is unusable and the Christchurch City Council is working hard to fix it and reopen it to the public. Update. Work to repair the quake-damged road has started and maybe finished by 2018. You can still visit and see the beautiful scenery at the top of Evans Pass.
